DCPCA Announces the Award of Grants to DC Health Centers - May 6, 2009 DCPCA announced the award of small capital grants to six community health centers in DC. The awardees, wards, grant totals, and project descriptions are as follows: Bread for the City (Ward 2) was awarded $35,000 to purchase new vehicles; Community of Hope (Ward 1) will receive $27,000 to upgrade its technological infrastructure and begin to prepare for implementation of electronic health records...

Kelly Sweeney McShane Sworn In as ICH Member - April 2009

Community of Hope's Executive Director Kelly Sweeney McShane was sworn in by DC mayor Adrian Fenty as a member of the Interagency Council on Homelessness (ICH) on April 14, 2009. This is Kelly's second term on the ICH. The ICH consists of cabinet-level leaders, providers of homeless services, advocates, homeless and formerly homeless leaders who come together to inform and guide the District’s strategies and policies for meeting the needs of individuals and families who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless in the District of Columbia.
